Austin Peace Academy's Pre-K program gives children a head start in kindergarten and beyond. Each teacher is highly responsive to every child's ability and stage of development. [Instruction is led by a Texas state certified teacher that holds a master's degree in literacy instruction]. The Pre-K program focuses on the "whole child." We work to develop each child's social, physical, emotional, and academic learning.
The classrooms are print-rich environments and there is a strong emphasis on books and developing an appreciation for reading. Exciting activities are planned to reinforce concepts, align with curriculum, and support hands-on learning. The facilities offer a beautiful outdoor shaded play area for students to investigate, explore, and appreciate nature.
Austin Peace Academy offers two levels in the Pre-School Program: Pre-K1 and Pre-K2. The minimum requirements for enrollment are for the child to be fully potty-trained and at least 3-years-old at the time of admission.
Pre-K1 - Students who turn 4 after September 1st will be placed in the Pre-K1 group.
Pre-K2 - Students who turn 4 before September 1st can be placed in the Pre-K2 group based on the child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual level.
