I would like to share with you an exciting event our High School students are sponsoring:

The week of October 19th through the 23rd, Austin Peace Academy will have  “National Teen Read Week”. This program involves our high school students spending time each day reading to our elementary school children for 15 minutes. The younger children are very excited to spend time with the older students. The older students are all volunteers and will not only get to know our younger students even better but it will give them the opportunity to share their love of reading and practice public speaking skills. If students have not yet signed up for the few remaining spaces they should contact Faiza Tayyab, the event coordinator.
